For all you night owls

Venus is quickly following the Sun down below the horizon and soon she will be so close to the sun she is invisible to our eyes.

Let the Moon be your guide tonight on the 1^st May when she will be just above Mars. The white star is Regulus and the reddish one is Mars.

Get ready to aim your binoculars or telescope towards the Moon on the 4^th May as she will be next to Spica and just above Saturn. It’s always easier to see the Moons craters when she is NOT Full.

As night falls the clearly visible and magnificent Scorpion will rise in the eastern sky and move overheard all night. And he will finally start his dive into the western horizon as the Sun rises in the morning. 

For all you early birds

You may be lucky early this month to see Mercury. He will make a fleeting visit in the eastern sky just before the sun rises and he disappears from view. He travels close to the Sun and as a result his visits are quick. That’s why the ancients knew him as the “winged messenger”.

All that which has been simmering below the surface at work will erupt. Co-workers will be tense and even argumentative.  And even if I suggested otherwise; you cannot help but get involved. But try and wait till later in the month when you get a helpful idea. If you are paying someone to do a job then make sure they know exactly what you expect.

Expect something nice to happen this month and it will. Yes, you do have duties which you cannot escape, but the benefits are better. Your creative energy levels will increase and that means you will feel great if you get out, have some fun and are active. Venus the goddess of love and fun is entering your sign. Goody; don’t you deserve life to be smoother. You will have a special radiance and people will notice you. Attract people and enjoy yourself. The things you can learn without trying. All you need to do is LOOK!

Without saying anything, have a look at the next hand that comes under your nose. It may be someone handing you change. Or waving.

Notice the hand shape. Is it square and solid, or long and soft?

Square hands indicate practicality, persistence and patience.  These people rely on what they can “do” in any situation.

Long soft hands can go two ways. Along with other indicators, they can rely on the mind, or on feelings. Some will “think” their way through life. Others will “feel” it.

Most hands are somewhere in the middle and use “doing, thinking and feeling”. But soon you will find a classic example of someone who does one in preference to the others. Is that you or your loved one? Sometimes this reliance will help, other times it will hinder.

Take for instance someone with square hands who enjoys working hard and uses their hands to fix “life” very successfully. Then ill-health (bad knee) comes along to prevent them from moving and all of a sudden they are at a loss. They cannot “do” stuff! Or someone with long thinking hands that got a job working on an assembly line.  They will  NOT be happy!

The trick is to help them, and help yourself, use your natural strengths to maximize assets and increase happiness!

For all you night owls

Venus and Jupiter will be rapidly following the Sun below the horizon. During April Venus will be slowly passing over the Pleiades, also known as the 7 Sisters. I will be making sure I see that!  

Look overhead to see Mars shining with a reddish glow. Let the Moon be your guide when she passes close by on the 3^rd and 4^th April.

Saturn will be in further to the east and will be difficult to spot. Let the Moon be your guide as she will be nearby on the 7^th April.

For all you early birds

The magnificent Scorpion will be directly overhead. I always get a kick out of seeing him. Reddish Antares is the star of his head and the long sweep of his tail lies in the Milky Way. If you have never seen him; look for the curve of his tail and think BIG! He is so clear you will wonder why you never saw him before. Let the Moon be your guide as she will be stuck right between his pincers on the 10^th April. Not a comfy place for the great Moon goddess!

The Southern Cross can be seen lying on its side in the south. Mercury will be briefly visible in the eastern skies just before the Sun rises, and Saturn will be setting in the west. Let the Moon be your guide when she is close to Saturn on the 7^th April and close to Mercury on the 19^th April.

You are likely to receive information that will change, and then frustratingly change again! This will easily confuse and very possibly mislead you into making the incorrect decision. So do not believe all you hear, or all you are told.   Something of value will come to you. It may be a personal item, or you find a little extra cash to splash around.

Taurus 20 April – 20 May

Venus the goddess of love and good times enters your sign to give you the X factor. If you are going to be noticed then you may as well be noticed for a radiant smile and a friendly attitude. The Full Moon is also lighting up the creative and fun-loving part of you. Get out there and have some fun!

Gemini 21 May – 20 June

Focus on your home, and the small details of life, because any big plans are going to be so darn confusing. You don’t know the correct facts to plan what you will be doing in a years’ time. What’s that in the sky?

For all you night owls

I have arranged something special for you!! J To take advantage of it make sure you look westward in the early evening as Venus and Jupiter come closer and closer until 14^th March when they are at their closest.  Let the Moon be your guide as she will between these two brilliant lights on 26^th March. Venus is lower and Jupiter the highest light.

Mercury is making a very fleeting appearance for a few days in the early evening as he follows the Sun down. He looks like any other star, but he “moves” against the stars in the background. That’s why we know he is a planet! Mars is in the east and rising higher and higher as the month passes.

The Pleiades are still visible and are between Venus/ Jupiter and the bright star Aldebaran in the eye of Taurus the Bull.  

The so-called Harvest Full Moon is on the 8^th March. In the past, farmers depended on the light of the Harvest Moon to gather ripening crops late into the night.

For all you early birds

Mars is setting in the east and Saturn is high overhead but slowly moving to the east as the month passes. The best thing about being up early is watching the magnificent Scorpion move high overhead. Look at the Milky way and look for a huge smooth curve of stars until you reach the sting in his tail.  Let the Moon be your guide as on the 14^th March the Moon will be between the Scorpions nippers and on the 15^th the Moon will be below the stinger!

The Southern Cross is visible in the South. Look for the two brilliant stars known as the Pointers; perhaps because they point to the Southern Cross! The cross is nearly upright and will lay over more and more as the month passes.
